I’m currently visiting a wonderful group of friends in London! While I’m spending time with them (and probably eating way too much food), I figured the best post for this week would be an easy-breezy photo essay of my previous four trips across the pond. These were all taken with my very old Kodak EasyShare.
Relaxing in Green Park — one of my favorite places
Me and Robin waiting for a train to the city centre
Me and Amy at Piccadilly Circus
At the gates of Buckingham Palace
Andi and Stuart take me and Amy around a park on a peddle boat
Big Ben and Parliament at night
Sadly we didn’t take the famous crosswalk photo from The Beatles’ album cover
It’s a small world — I ran into 3 guys I worked with as we were crossing the Thames and we had to pause for a photo
I’ll be back next week with tales of macarons, food, and friends 🙂
Some great pics here. Doesn’t look at all like your typical (stereotypical?) London weather :-p
Great photos… man London would have given me a million places to do a toe-touch in front of. I love the last pic… text toilet to find the nearest one jajaja.
Looks like you’re having a marvelous time as usual! I especially love the flower shot in Hyde Park and the toilet locator sign. 🙂
Beautiful pictures, Heather! I love the pic of the flowers in Hyde Park – such amazing colors! And the last one about finding a toilet is hilarious (& very practical, I should add!) I can think of a few places I wish I had seen that sign . . . like maybe in Outback Australia, LOL. 😉
Ahh this makes me miss home a bit – I’ve never seen texting for the toilet though but why not eh??
Looks cold!
Ahhh…Memories, enjoyed seeing the pictures again. My all time favorite is the flowers in Hyde Park!
I can’t believe you ran into people you know! That’s so random!
I love seeing photos of London way more now that I’ve been there and know what a cool city it is. If you haven’t, you should read some of the Phillippa Gregory books about the old kings and queens of England. It’s so fascinating to hear some of the history (even if some of it is made up or exaggerated) and be transported back to that time.
You did a great job of taking pictures and arranging them to fully describe London. The last photo made me laugh so hard I almost texted the number at the bottom. 😉
I really had to go the other day and almost texted the number myself!
I LOVE London! So many people are there right now. The kids from Technosyncratic are there as well. I have friends who live there and we do go visit them every so often. London is just so freakin fantastic.
Keeping you in my thoughts (just read the news today on the Hackney riots)
I left the day the riots started — my friends in Croydon have said they’ve now made it to their neighborhood. Crazy!!
Ahhh, one of my favourite cities! So random that you ran into your coworkers, haha! 😀
