This is the 5th post in a series about my 30th birthday trip to Dublin this past March!
Wednesday, March 17 was not only St. Patrick’s Day but it was also my 30th birthday! I knew the day would include at least two things: a trip to the Guinness Storehouse and a nice dinner out with the group. We decided we’d also check out the parade and other festivities throughout the city. To get started, we headed to the Storehouse, as one of the slogans is “Opening Time is Guinness Time”!

Everyone’s Irish on my birthday
We eventually made our way to the Gravity Bar at the top floor, where everyone receives a free pint
I bought this Chocolate & Guinness muffin on a whim from the cafe expecting it to be terrible. It was AMAZING. One of the three best things I ate all week. If I could, I’d fly there right now just to eat another one.
The gang, missing Dave and Pam
I could have stayed at the Gravity Bar for another hour to enjoy the 360 view of the city, but we were running late for the parade, so after downing a pint (or in my case, only 1/2 of one!), away we went. Turns out we should have stayed longer at the Storehouse because the parade was nothing short of BUSTED. More on that and the rest of the day in the next Dublin post 🙂

Australia represent! That Guinness/chocolate muffin looks FAB. I MIGHT have to attempt to make some.
If you make some, I want one! I’d be happy to help too. They were seriously ridiculous.
Poor Evan had to finish both our pints! I did manage to finish 2/3 of mine at least…
Woo – I remember being pleased with that photo! 😛
Loving the recap on Dublin, it was a great week!
